    Problem solved!!

Spoke to Vodafone (UK) and they said it was a known problem for people who had changed phones recently and who were still on the old BIS. Vodafone removed my old account and I created a new one and hey presto - emails with attachments now work fine.

    Thanks for everyone's input

So it's a problem with BIS 1.8. And to cure it you have to trsansition to BIS 2.x. Is this correct?

    Thanks for your support.

Yes, that is quite correct. Once my BIS account had been upgraded, I could sent attachments. This problem is known to Vodafone (but not to anyone at Pinstack - up until now)!

    Question Re: Emailing pictures

I have a new Curve. I cannot send photos wirelessly as an attachment (.jpg) but can via SMS to a phone. I can move them to my desktop via the Roxio software when Desktop Manager is connected to the handheld. The attachment may show up as a .jpg, but cannot be opened - it says it's .html... Any ideas? - Roger

Did you try deleting your email accounts on bis and readding them? Not sure if it'll help buy might be worth a shot.
