    email problems?

    i have recently changed my carrier to vodafone (from o2) and realised that i am getting my emails through very late. some email accounts are better then others but i can not see what the issue is. i resend the service books very often but this does not seem to sort the problem out?

    i was use to getting my emails come through more or less instantly and now it can take hours to come through.

    any ideas?

    Are they having a data outage? That's the only thing I can think of.

    what is a data outage, and how can i tell if this is the case?

    During a data outage, you're unable to do the following:
    send or receive email, IM or PIN messages (texts may not work either);
    use the browser;
    chat on messengers;
    unable to send service books from the BIS site on PC or BB to BB;
    register the device on the wireless network doesn't happen;
    pass a device diagnostic test under the mobile network options;

    in that case...nope...they are not haveing a data outage, PIN messages work absolutly fine as i was using it all day. could it be just that the carrier might be sh*t? this is really bugging me as it defeats the objective of having the blackberry if i am getting home and able to use the PC befor the emails come though on my BB.

    would appreciate any help

    The ones that are lagging, didn't default to imap did they?

    not sure what imap is, how can i tell if they defaulted to imap?
