    have 8310 unlocked has at&t on case but phone &sms works email and data won't work tried opera mini and no luck service provider can't get data plan to work tried manual update and no luck any help with this

    What is your signal in the corner, do you have gprs, GPRS, edge or EDGE?

    Also are you able to send and receive PIN messages?

    Are they a reseller of service?
    Do they sell BB's?
    If they provide BB data service they should be capable of troubleshooting this. If not I'm wondering if the provisioning on their end is the problem?

    not sure if there a reseller they do not sell blackberry got this phone from ebay

    Unless there is damage to the BB itself, this should be fairly easy to resolve.

    if you have edge lower case that is why you can't get data. Have you tried a different sim or anything?

    You may want to look at the SIM and also check again with your Carrier and verify that they do have the proper provisioning. They may need to remove the provisioning and readd it to the device.

    OK that explains it, you are using a reseller of cellular service that does not support BlackBerrys and does not even understand the basics. They most likely do not have BIS, therefore to get yours to work you have just two choices of carriers. AT&T or T-Mobile. Both of those offer BB serv with BIS on GSM which is the type of BlackBerry you have.
