what about if I am not the original owner and I purchased it second hand, will/should AT&T still warrant the dust issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    regards.......

Re: Dust under the screen on 8310

I've had my 8310 for a couple of weeks now. Thankfully, no dust issues. Or for that matter, no anything issues. So, hopefully any build quality items have been addressed in later build dates. Love the thing - absolutely the best phone I've owned. And it's already survived a relatively minor drop (2 feet or so onto a carpeted surface) with no apparently damange (thank God). Thanks to this forum and several others, I went ahead and got a holster which I've used religiously since day 1. Now that I understand BB's a little better, you WANT a holster, if for nothing else, to reap the full benefits of RIM's realization that a "in holster" profile was an absolute stroke of genius. But other than not paying attention when putting it back in the thing, my BB stays in the plastic holster almost 24/7 and so far has no dust, dings, scratches, etc. That will change in a couple of years I'm sure
