hmm.. that happened to me but i was using OS 4.5. i recently downgraded back to 4.2 and still had the same problem. until i went to options/advanced options/gps the click the menu to refresh gps...do you get your location there? if so, then go back to google maps and try it again. that worked for me.

hmm, which 4.2 version are you using? i'm using 4.2.2.194. that is weird, was it working with the previous version of google maps? the newer version of google maps is slow and takes some time to zoom in, so i'm not sure if i want to keep it or downgrade. i still have to play with it for a bit.

Do you have any other GPS apps? If so, do they work?
I may be having the same issue, no GPS in gMaps, but it works in everything else. Hopefully it's just a bug in gMaps.

When in doubt, pull the battery out.

Yes, I also subscribe to Mapquest Navigator and that works just fine all the time, it could be a bug then

jorge, perhaps you should upgrade to 4.2.2.194? its worth a shot. i'm using live search, the new google maps, bbmaps, nav4all and tellme which all work fine. however tell me doesnt work on the beta 4.5 and thats why i downgraded. good luck.

Just to share, I ended up up-dating the OS to 4.2.2 194 and I started getting uncaught exception error StackoverflowError but the Gmaps worked just fine with the location and all but something I couldn't stand is the flash seemed a lot less powerful.

You need to download the upgrade 2.0.3. I had the same problem with 2.0.1. Give me a few minutes to find the link.

Oh, wow. I misread the above and didn't realize my error until I hit the Google page. I downloaded 2.0.3 a few weeks ago. I had no idea Google Maps had upgraded to 2.1.0. I guess my eyes simply saw what they wished to see! Well, here's the link (2.1.0): http://google.com/glm.

I guess I'll stick with what I have until I hear otherwise. If I can find 2.0.3 elsewhere, though, I definitely share. Keep us posted.

I'm trying to download the newest 2.1.0 and I get an error every time. "903 Loss of Service HTTP Error 400: Bad Request"

You think maybe they pulled it? The link is still up at google but it won't download.

Did anyone else's google maps icon change to what looks like a command window instead of the old compass?
