I have version 4.3xx on an 8310 Cuve (UK) and a sandisk 8gb card. It shows up as an 8gb card on the BB. Funnily, though, when I try to play a video that works fine on a 1gb card, it refuses to play on the 8gb card. Also, the 8gb card will not show up on the flaky Roxio Media Manager while my 1gb and 4gb cards have no difficulty....??

I don't understand why there would be a cap on amount of memory allowed, or why it wouldn't be able to. All it is is more memory, why can't the BB just read it. Or is it some kind of policy issue? And I know its the OS that is restricting it, but why restrict a bigger memcard?
    BlackBerry Rocks!<-Check it out!

That's probably all that was available at the time of release. With 4.5 so close, and so many beta copies easily available and stable at this point, it can't hurt to just upgrade the OS. Plus you get a ton of new features.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ a guy at best buy told me that the most phones can't support hc classification of memory card. Non hc cards only go up to 4 gigs. At least that's what he said.
