It is super easy to crack the T5 screw. I just did one. ARGH !

Any thoughts on where I can find a replacement ?

Just a note on CNN.CN--their shipping takes an inordinately long time. I have waited three weeks for a shipment once. Plan ahead (if that is at all possible).

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~hold on so the main faceplate...is it attached to a clear lens that then goes over the lcd? From what I'm reading, the lcd is a separate entity?

Yes the LCD is completely seperate from the Lens and Faceplate.

    Why is it you ask?

That's odd cause I ordered a full housing from them for my 8300 and I ended up receiving it in less than 10 days. I thought that was really quick from China.

But then again, I am from Canada

I have a couple scratches on mine I wnted to replace. I'm just glad I don't have to mess with removing the lcd. So in other words, replacing exterior parts isn't bad at all?

It looks like I can get a replacement lens for $6 plus shipping from http://cnn.cn/shop/blackberry-curve-...ns-p-1778.html which seems pretty good.

    A couple questions:
Are there diassembly instructions for an 8300 posted somewhere?
What screwdriver or screwdrivers are needed? There are T4, T6, and such mini drivers. What would I need, or is there a good place to order a set?

If anyone has done such a repair and had success (or not) I'd like to hear about it.
Make sure you watch the video a few times. The trickiest part is the bottom piece. The rest is pretty straight forward. I've taken apart both Curves and Pearls, but I've never taken the plastic screen off of the front housing. I would probably just buy a whole new front housing, since it's pretty cheap anyways.
