    Deleting multiple text messages/emails?

This might be the wrong place for this, but I'm having issues finding a way to delete multiple SMS text messages and/or email messages on my Curve 8330 using OS 4.5. Is this even possible? Seems like a real hindrance to people that go crazy texting, as most recent plain ol' cell phones I've used will allow you to select/mark multiple text messages and delete them all with one action.

Here's another method I use all the time:

Scroll up to where the date separator is shown (for example, today's date). Hit the BB key and select Delete Prior. This will clear out all messages.

I meant to say that it will clear all messages prior to the date you highlight.

Yep, this is what I do too. Saves a lot of time. I also do this on Viigo.

only problem with Delete Prior is that if you are on a BES it wont give you the option to delete off the "On Mailbox and Handheld"
Once you go Black(berry) you'll never go back!!!

Nice, because I save pretty much everything I actually NEED I think I'll be using the delete prior option from now on.

Thanks guys, this'll save me a lot of time.

Same holds true for BIS as well. That delete prior option will rely on your reconciliation settings. As I keep "delete on handheld" only for my BES account - it's no big deal for me.

If you want to skip one more step you can avoid hitting menu and simply hit the delete key. It will still give the option to remove on handheld and mailbox as well as clear out old texts.

or even if you want to search by a certain person to delete texts only from that person(s) you can:

go to SMS ---->menu ----> search sender and that will highlight the persons name in which you last had highlighted and it will then display all messages from that person. from there hit menu again ----->select delete prior and all messsages from there are gone
