    Data services disabled? Help??

So I was sitting here using BBM and then all of a sudden, I get this message:

    Data service is disabled.
Message(s) will not be transmitted until it is enabled.

Okay, well it was just working fine. Last time this happened I called AT&T and a simple battery pull fixed it (go figure)... but I just pulled the battery three times in a row and still nothing. Help?

Hi Brooke, if Reddogs suggestion does not work, could you please inform us if you are using OS4.5 because I have seen this happen on quite a few builds.

Also, hate to be a PITA, but how do I re-send service books? Never had to do this before...

All I have showing is GSM. That isn't a good sign.

    Well there you go...BETA

Upgrade to the newest or downgrade back to 4.2

Issues are bound to pop up with BETAs just keep that in mind. They aren't just a walk in the park. There's always trouble shooting and issues with the Newer OS.

You should still be fine Brooke... Was wondering why you went MIA. I'm using .42 but no issues. Try going into options, advanced options, and then host routing table and hit menu then register now. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Sign into BIS and on the right hand side of the screen click service books, you can then click send service books. You should get a message on your BB from "activation server" saying that your address has been setup. Yes GSM only showing is a bad sign, does it still say GSM when you access your inbox?

Yeah I see it on my inbox... and I'm not on BIS, I don't think? I'm just on a personal data thing...

Well i would try the service books and

    check here #13 http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ad.php?t=42861

If none of that works, If you want to deal with trouble shooting then upgrade to which ever is the latest 4.5 OS is. It think it's 4.5.0.42

If you want something stable and will work go back to 4.2.

In my opinion the 4.5 OS isn't impressive at all. The additions do not out weigh the issues newer BB users have been encountering. It's your choice. I have reloaded this OS at least 6 times over. Every time a pain in my butt.

Even for a veteran it's no fun. Although I believe many of the issues are new user errors, and not recognizing it can be fixed with a simple solution.

It's your choice, depends what you want.

Right combination makes it work smoothly. No issues here. Reddogg.

I would try one more battery pull and this time wait like 30 seconds..if not login into att.blackberry.com signin and hit resend service books. If not then your looking at reloading the OS.

    .
FYI the most recent beta is 4.5.0.44 in my opinion it is much better in regards to performance than .42
