it resets itself whenever i try to go to change a ring tone. I wonder why it's doing that?

Are you trying to select the tone from the device, or a memory card? Try a battery pull, and try again, this time opposite i.e. from memory card or device...

LOL, your phone felt the adultry officer! Ha ha ha!

I was trying to get a ring tone off my memory card...but i have always had them on there. I did the batt pull and so we'll see what's going on. I will let it "rest"for today and not try to change anything.

I put on two RSS readers yesterday. Perhaps I have to take one off.

I know I feel the shame also. Just for comparison has anyone else unlocked their themes or removed their PTT and now are experiencing this issue??? I recently unlocked all the themes and removed my PTT. Just food for thought.....

    Re: Curve Reset itself?

I doubt this is it, but the Curve and 8800 can be reset by your IT folks (BES only) to remove any third party goodies, including themes.

AT&T had a number of complaints about resets when the Curves were first released, customer service recommended they be exchanged.
May want to take that with a grain of salt though - we all play way too much with these so likely it is a theme issue, Opera issue, etc. I know, pull the battery, lol.

    Re: Curve Reset itself?

I think Im going to keep an eye on mine for a week or so yet. Only had it for about two weeks and it has only done it while trying to access the link to a thread. Im not on BES so its not my IT people. I may just call At&T so its on record though.

Out of curiosity, those that are experiencing a lot of resets, post your software data. Would be interesting to see if this is related to a specific OS.

    Re: Curve Reset itself?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~its somthing that most new devices are experiancing I have traded several devices and tryed os installs and updates and its still there, it looks as if rim has finaly goten in step with the usability or lack there of that windows mobile users have been enjoying and means we can no longer call the rim platform stable . This is a direct result of trying to incorperate more prosesses on a verry limited device when an error presents its self the device reboots .so that said look for more problems as the device hits the wall as reasourses go
Maby the apple is stable and will start to pull users to a truly user friendly platform
