Smile Re: Curve owners... what was your previous Device?

Eight weeks ago I had a Sprint Treo 700p. My third Treo in about 3 years, bought new about a year ago. It didn't play well with the bluetooth in my Camry Hybrid, as it usually showed the previous caller in the caller id, not the current caller. That, other issues, and the desire to try something new resulted in my trying an at&t/Cingular Samsung Blackjack.

I used the Blackjack 7 weeks, unfortunately. The phone as a phone was great, but the rest really sucked. Reboots every day or two, if not twice a day, slow email, even with 3G, and on and on. It's up on eBay right now.

I'm into my 2nd week with an 8800, and like it a lot. As usual, I bought right before the next model. Well, I just ordered an 8300, and will decide in the next 10 days or so which is the keeper. But either one's better than a Blackjack or Treo 700p!

    7520!!

    I miss it!!

The most durable bullet proof phone/gadget I have ever owned...

The upside my part time job is getting me a new 7520 on Nextel...

So I'll have the curve and 7520

My Curve(s) are addtions to my exisiting BlackBerry's. I like to have choices, and nothing beats a BlackBerry.....any BlackBerry. I like them all, as they each have their distinct advantages and applications.

IMHO there is no such thing as "The Best BB".

Only the one that you find is the best for you.

8800 was the previous BB, and it may become the current BB again if I can't get a browser on the Curve soon.

    Try the following:

Go to and click the Setup Internet Email icon on the home screen.
    Go to Service Books.
    Go to Send All.
    Exit that screen.
Go to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table.
Scroll to and click on the BOLD typed entry.
    Click on Register Now.
    Exit Options.
Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds (you can also hold down the power button) and then put it back in.

Sorry for interrupting the thread as I don't have the 8300. Just helping the poster with their problem.

(First) 8700c...loved the keyboard, but overall too big. (Second) 8100 Pearl...great size but fairly quickly missed the QWERTY KB. (Current) 8300 Curve...loving it so far, but I want a plastic holster like the 8700!
