    Hello :

I am on the new ATT. I get the X if I just send myself an MMS header, with no content or a photo. Don't know if size is an issue.

I haven't used MMS before getting the Curve. Prior was 7130C

These are the settings in the MMS Client Service Book:

    Maximum message size: 307200 (300K)
    Maximum image width: 1600
    Maximum image height: 1200

And Automatic Retrieval is deactivated for Cingular.

    Re: curve MMS problem

You should have the following service books (options/advanced options/service books):

    MMS Transport [WPTCP]
    MMS Client [MMS]

If you have those try resending a few mms messages to yourself. If that still doesn't work I would recommend resending your service books (log into bis on pc or personal email setup on device and select resend service books) and then pull the battery, leave it out for 30 seconds and put it back in and give it another whirl. If that doesn't work check your tcp settings (options/advanced options/tcp) and make sure they're in their, they should be, if not:

    APN: wap.cingular
    Username for APN:WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
    Password: CINGULAR1

Pay attention to caps, in my experience that matters. Let us know how it works out. Hope this helps!

    Smile Re: curve MMS problem

I just put my sim card into another new curve here at my store and was able to send a 395k photo wioth success. i didnt update and resend the service books cause i was trying to test it out. Dunno if the bis may have an issue with this or the installation of the new os will fix this glitch.

    Cheri & All

My mms problem has been resolved. Apparently ATT (formerly Cingular) has several Blackberry Data Service tiers for non-enterprise server (BIS) users. Unbeknown to me, since I did not use MMS on my 7130c I was not on a data plan that provided for MMS. Thanks for your interest in my problem, suggest others with similar problems check their data service specifics.

well, originally my last post last night said "i really have a hunch its in the provisioning..." but i erased it because i thought it might be considered a bash towards ATT (which it wasn't)...

glad you got it working...harry - you should contact CC at ATT check provisioning sorry, had to
