How do you close the Blackberry Messenger App? I have tried Menu>close but it still shows up as being opened when you do Alt+Escape. In fact, Alt+Escape always shows 6 apps open. Can't close them all.

Well, you can delete the app when doing OS Updates in which case it's never there! Course that could get in your way if you actually wanted to use it! lol.

There are base applications that you cannot close and are always running. I beleive their are 5 on your device including BB Messenger. Anything more that the base 5 is running in the background.

    Good Luck!

Ohhhh!! Themes take up A LOT of space! You can only use one of them at once. If you delete un-used
themes you will reclaim a TON of space!

    thatzmister is correct...

You cannot close the 5 basic applications....
Phone, BBmessanger, Browers, Homescreen, and Call Log

And Themes do take up space...I would recommend you only load the 3rd party theme you are using and keep the rest on your desktop!

Thats what I liked about my shadow, you could keep all your apps, except themes, on the memory card..

Impossible. The device doesn't even have that much that memory to begin with.

How to get memory cleaner. Go to options > general settings > Enable password, content protection, and content compression > then press esc key and scrool to Save. You'll then be in (options >) security options. You should now have a new menu listing available called "memory cleaner". Scroll and click to the new menu. On "show icon on home screen" select Yes. You will now have an icon on your home screen that you can run anytime. It only takes about 3 seconds to run it. Things it cleans each time you run it:
    Address book cache.
    Certificate search.
    Certificate status manager.
    Clipboard.
    Content protection cache.
    Encrypted messages.
    Key store.
    PGP key search.

(I also have clean when idle enabled)

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Thank me later

i followed your directions and everything was fine, except for some strange reason, i can no longer see my BB messenger friends' status anymore! where their BB status should be it says "<content protection enabled>" im bummed out! i cant see what my friends are doing anymore. :-(

    whats up with this?
