    menu options

I was using the zen menu when I read that the menu option not to dial from home page was not accessible. However I've been cycling through the other menus, and I just don't see this option.

Would someone please tell me step by step what I need to do to set up my Curve so I can use the keyboard shortcuts?

    Thanks!

I posted a question about finding where to set the phone not to dial from the home page. I finally stumbled on that. And then I set my theme back to zen and the shortcuts still work. Whew! What a lot of effort for something that should be in the options for the BBerry.

Haha, okay. For anyone else there that doesn't know how to change the option of dailing from the home page, here ya go. Go to your call log>go to where you would dial a number OR just your call log itself> BB button>Options>General Options. Then change "Dial From Home Screen" to "No." Press the BB Button and save.

    I have a question....

I was doing a reset the other night using the "Alt-Right Shift- Del" method. I do it alot, but for some reason I forgot which buttons they were to reset it. I had pushed a bunch of different combinations, one of which change my typing to arabic, which I was able to fix easy enough. But it disabled the "T" shortcut to go to the top of the page in emails and browser. I use this shortcut about a million times a day and cannot figure out what I did to disable it.

Question: how do I get it back!?!?!?!

Sorry if this has been answered, I would have searched the forums for it, but I don't even know what i would search under...

    Thanks

awesome thread guys!! I just noticed something because of this thread.

From the home screen, hit menu which brings up all icon apps, look at the names for most of the programs you scroll over Calender guess what from the home screen you hit "l" and calender comes up. Adress book, hit "A" and the address book comes up! so for everyone who can't bring up the apps with whats been listed take a look at the name of the Program and see if a letter is underlined and try hitting that button from the homescreen

....sneaky little buggers where giving us hints but never said anything about it!!! lol

    Question

Not sure this has been asked, this is a very long thread and have not had time to read every page. Is there a standard copy/paste key stroke, like Ctrl+C or Ctrl+P in windows?

All these & more are readily available to you. All one has to do is click on the help icon on the start screen of every BB sold. It's simply a matter of choosing to spend some time learning your device.

yeah, I've owned my Curve 8130 for a few months now and always used one of the convenience keys for my keyboard lock. I just downloaded an application that autolocks the keyboard about 5 seconds (you can change this setting) after the backlight goes out. Pretty handy.. No more pocket-dialing :]

If you are on a bb browser. Menu >select mode. And select what you want to copy the press menu then copy.
