    First of all, in order to use these, you must go into Phone Options and turn OFF dialing from home screen.

    Key shortcuts:

    A or C = phonebook
    S = search
    F = phone profiles
    W or B = browser
    H = help
    K = locks the keys
    L = calendar
    V = messages
    M = messages folder
    R = alarm
    T = tasks
    U = calculator
    I = applications
    O = options
    P = phone

    Some new additions thanks to the contributions in this thread:

    T - Top of page (in browser)
    B - Bottom of page (in browser)
    Space - Page down (in browser)
    ALT + Right Shift + Del = hard reset
    D - Memo pad
    U - Switch between hide/unhide in title bar (in browser)
    ALT + NMLL = numbers instead of bars for signal strength

    Question Close application

    I read that the escape key will take you out of an application but not close it. I have been going into the menu and hitting "c" until "close" is highlighted, then clicking. Is there a shortcut to close an application?

    But does the end key close applications or just return to home screen? When I press the end key and then press alt escape to see the applications that are running, it seems like they are not being closed only minimized. Will an application show on alt esc after it has been closed?

    You use the end key to just close all open apps use the back key to escape and close the app. Just remember some apps do not close at all without hitting the bb menu and close or exit and some apps will not close at all.

    Ditto to what jr said....to close the app...use the end key but to actually exit the app...you will usually need to depress the BB or menu key....from there choose exit to exit the app (like Google Maps) or Close if exit isn't an option like voice notes...

    You can easily accomplish the task of locking the keyboard by pressing the shortcut key "k". Use the LH & RH convenience keys for other tasks like camera or voice notes.
