    BlackBerry Curve 8900 beats iphone sales in Q1

    Now this is exciting news, taking into consideration the iphone was released months before the curve.

    You are wrong. Its the curve 83xx that came out on top. Not the 8900. Its been reported on every blog and some news sites. The curve 8900 didn't make the top 5.

    I believe Jeremy is correct. The article I saw didn't mention model numbers, but I'm pretty sure it was referring to the 8300 series Curve (or maybe 8300 + 8900). They seemed to think a lot of it had to do with a "buy one, get one" promotion with one of the carriers. I don't think the 8900 is in BOGO status yet and with TMo as the only US carrier at the moment, it would be tough for the 8900 to have a huge volume.

    Still, its nice to see the 8300 Curves still doing well. Its an excellent device...
