    curve gripe

Don't get me wrong. The curve is a dead sexy phone, but its slow... There's lag when I go into profiles, there's lag when I scroll through my icons at times, and there's lag when I go into extended menus... Not a big lag at all, but lag nonetheless...

I had owned an 8700 and I loved how much quicker it had moved... That was a very snappy phone...

I have both phones at os 4.2 running the same theme... Im not very big on 3rd party software so I have plenty of memory on the phones... And I turn my phone off quite frequently to start the day fresh...

    The curve is slow...

Have you gone through the startup wizard and deleted all the languages you won't use? I've hear that can speed up the phone. Also, I wonder if turning the phone off is a good as a reboot. Try takeing your battery out for a few seconds and put it back in. You'll get a full reboot.

i haven't heard that problem from my buddies ho have the curve, i do know that the 8799g processor was insanely fast, but i'm not sure of the differences between the processor speeds of the curve and the 8700g you might want to check that out

I know this won't make it any better, but you have not seen lag until you have a Treo running Windows Mobile. I have only had a BB for about a month and can't imagine a phone any faster than my Curve.

true that dlogan1...the Treo are known for their multi-tasking symptoms try one thing too many and you'll be waiting a life time for the phone to figure out what it's doing...i would try doing a memory wipe with the built in memory cleaner...helps me tons when my BB starts to lag

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

What OS are u running joewoo? Maybe u should upgrade?
I would definately run the setup wizard. It will delete all unused languages.

My curve has never been slow.

I have the latest upgrade... I ran the setup and deleted unused languages...

I think I was jus spoiled by the 400 mhz processor in the 8700... The curve only has a 317 mhz I believe...

I removed all the themes that I don't need and my curve is running smoother than ever.

My Curve runs fast. I got rid of things like the sample video, brickbreaker, themes that I don't use, extra languages, PTT ect. Also try to clean your internet cache every couple days. And if you have a bunch of third party apps you might want to delete the ones you don't use to often. Hope this helps.

My curve runs great. I removed unused languages, themes and PTT as soon as I got it.
