Question Curve freezes after taking pics!

This doesn't happen all the time, maybe 1 out of 5 times, but does anyone's Curve freeze after taking a picture? The picture remains on the screen, but then I can't do anything with the phone after that. It is non-responsive and just sits there with the picture on the screen. I do a battery pull and then all is right with the world. The pic has been saved and if I want to forward it as an e-mail, it works just fine. What the heck???

Sounds like when you take the picture that you may have low memory. It has happened to me a few times and this is the only reason I have come up with.

I am using a 2G memory card, and I don't have anything stored on it except a few pics and a couple of short (1-2 minute) vids. Don't know what OS I'm using (BB is sleeping right now) but I bought it from VZW at the beginning of Feb 09, if that helps identifying what OS I'm using.

    To check your OS

    Go into Options>About

The one that says something like the following below
    v4.2.1.107 (Platform 2.3.0.84)
    v 4.2 is your OS

Also check your free memory: options>status and see what "file free" is. The 8330 has a gob of memory - I have a lot of stuff on mine and usually have over 22mb free. I haven't seen many 8330 users running out of memory unless they're saving messages forever, never clear cache, etc.

Okay, thanks. Looks like my OS is v4.5.0.77 (Platform 3.2.0.51) and I have tons of memory.

Try clearing the logs and test the camera

    Press Alt+L+G+L+G

Logs will show up and click and select clear logs.

hey other users are catching on to clearing the error logs . i found this issue back when the devices had way less memory ... dont forget to disable the error and use logs as they will eat up memory again and again.

Also check the quality of the picture. I know when mine was set to superfine it would sometimes do that as well.

DiAnna42ohoh If a Battery Pull seems to fix the issue I would look at Apps that have serious memory leaks which is causing your issues. You seem to be simply running low on memory. Phone Memory not Storage Card space. What Apps do you have installed other than the default ones that came on the phone?
