at&t had a 90 exclusive. tmo will most likely offer it right after that.
just wait, it will be worth it!

I agree, I think you'll see T-Mobile with the Curve right after the 90 day exclusive expires.

Hopefully (still rumoured) T-Mobile will get the 8320 instead of the 8300 at&t has. The 8320 (rumoured) has the addition of Wi-Fi and with the soon to be launched UMA (aka T-Mobile@home) it will make it a superior device for data and calling.

Zo - Crossing his fingers that RIM is one of the 4 devices slated for launch on UMA.

If tmo gets the 8320 thats a different device than the 8300 meaning no exclusive deal right?

I was at the T-mobile kiosk today at the mall and was asking about the HotSpot at home. The salesman told me that it should be out next month (he had just come from a seminar about the HotSpot at home) ...at least in this area. He didn't say exactly which phones were coming out, but he did say there would be a few of them. I think one of them was a Motorola. One of the other salesmen said that the Pearl has wi-fi capabilities and could be used with that plan.

The current version of the pearl has no wi-fi but there are rumours of an updated model numbered 8120 with wi-fi.

Looking at T-Mobile's current serivce offering I woudl be surprised if they didn't go with the 8320, and I believe that would also allow them to work around at&t's 90 day exclusive as well.

UMA stands for Unlicensed Mobile Access. Basically it allows voice calls to be made over a wi-fi network from a cellular phone. The devices that can use UMA are known as "Dual-Mode Mobile Phones".
