However, I'd love to see the following device:
    - Nokia E71 form factor
    - Nokia N82 camera
    - BB Curve Keyboard
    - iPhone Browser and media capabilities
    - BB Operating System / stability
    - All metal construction similar to the E71
    - BB Bold Radio Configuration

    Dare to dream though...
And just where can I buy this ultimate communications device?

Ahh yes... there is no "perfect phone".

For those wanting to know about the 8900 on AT&T, I'm hearing that it could be this coming Monday, the 22nd. This of course hinges on AT&T, but the devices are ready to go. Field testing has been done, and secretly certified. The 8320 kind of throws a monkey wrench into the equation, but those had been sitting in a warehouse for months. Hopefully AT&T will do the right thing and soft launch Monday.

Don't get your hopes up. Not in this industry. Things always change. the new Curve is ready to go. Only waiting on AT&T's Corporate Office approval. Word is the original ETA date set by AT&T was Dec 22nd. It remains to be seen if that's still on schedule.

Sorry to say I have to agree with your assement of ATT's 3G speed on the bold. I'm living with the reality everyday. Would not have dropped the big bucks on the bold if I knew my wifes old 8130 on Sprint was still going to SMOKE the bold on internet speed. Wha's more frustrating is sitting in meetings next to my friend with a TILT and watching him surf at lightning speed.

And of course, you know what the problem will be once the Curve 8900's are released by AT&T

NOTHING...They will be the Best BB Yet! ...

    - he says, BB Bold in hand... -

Some how I just have this feeling, like the 83xx Curves, that the new 8900 will be the most well sorted out BlackBerry of all, with the best launch of all the new BB's to date.

i just talked with an AT&T rep and they said "I think that your information is better than mine. We just got notification that the Blackberry 8320 is available today. We have not received any information about when the Blackberry 8900 will be available."

And THIS is the one time I will agree.

KaraBear is our resident expert when it comes to the latest "scoop" on new devices and more. My money is on the info she provided. And even if it doesn't come true exactly, it will be because something changed just like she always says. After all, these carriers... all of them... can be quite fickle...

Karabear, I really don"t want to switch carriers, have you heard anything about TMO getting the 8900? Do you know how much ATT will probably sell them for?
