Alright, so I copied from x_double3_a and am going the flat black route! First off, huge props to him on his extra cool BB. Below is a shot of the housing painted flat black, now I am just waiting on the black keyboard and black 8320 lens to come in. I will post more pics afterwards when I get it put together. Wish me luck!

Thanks pal! I think that the Black lens will set it off though. Too bad I have to wait 7-10 days lol!

Now does anyone know if there are any problems to watch out for during reassembly?

The hardest piece of all to paint is the small clip at the bottom. The front housing and the battery cover can lay flat to be painted, but the clip has to stand up, allowing paint to run. It took me a few tries, stripping and repainting. The key is two very light coats.

    good job !!!

I tape over all of the exposed parts that are assembled back together, and take off the lens and the LED cover before painting.

I have done a few colors before (white, bright blue, flat and Glossy black, pink for the wife) but flat black has been my favorite (so far)

Yeah, at this point my only concern is taking my working bb apart. It comes apart easy enough save for the double sided tape holding the housnig to the lcd. Not sure how important it is, but almost impossible to keep intact.

I actually let it dry for about a half an hour, then I applied a light second coat. After that, it seemed dry to touch after an hour, but I let it set overnight just in case.

I JUST did mine a flat white today...

One problem I had was putting the small clip back on. I chipped the paint on the faceplate a bit, but I think it's mainly because it was no more than a 2 hours after I finished applying. But I'm gonna either recoat or touch it up next week or something. It's barely noticable, but I'm a perfectionist.

Yea mine hasn't been intact since the first day I took my BB apart. But As long as you get the LCD and the inside of the faceplate as clean and dust-free as possible before you assemble it, you should be fine.
