    Converting calendar from an 8830

I previously owned a BB 8830 and just purchased a new curve 8530 from Sprint. How do I convert the data from my 8830 to my 8530? I went in to desktop manager and did a backup of my 8830 with no problems. However when I plug the 8530 in my software does not recognize it so I can not do a restore. My calendar is critical and I have over 200 entries so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the DM and the "Device Switch Wizard"

You did not say what version of Desktop Manager you are using. You said that when you plug the 8530, the software does not recognize it but it does recognize the 8830. If that is the case then it sounds like you may not be using Desktop Manaager 5.0 which is needed for the BlackBerry 8530 because the software version for the 8530 is 5.0 and from my experience you need to have Desktop manager 5.0 because it has the the proper drivers for the 8530

The version of the DM does not necessarily coincide with the OS of the BB. You could be using 5.0 DM with 4.7 OS but I would make sure you are running the latest DM to help avoid any issues that you might be having.
