    Confused

OK I have had my Curve for a month and i noticed before that my trackball was loose. When i called about it one of the reps told me that it was normal but when i move the ball you can see that whole part move. Does anyone have any idea on what I should do?
The next problem is that my keypad is extremely squeaky, when i press the space bar not only does the all the keys move but it automatically makes to spaces. please guys i need to know if this is normal or should i call for a replacement.

    Re: Confused

I would call it in. Especially on the keyboard front. I don't remember having a blackberry with a squeaky keyboard. That in itself would cause me to try and get another one.

Trackball doesn't seem like an issue, in all of the curves I've seen the trackball has a little bit of play. I would however call t-mo about the keyboard.

    Re: Confused

if the entire trackball area is moving... that's too much -

and, the keyboard certainly shouldn't move that much either... u are well within the realm of reasonable to take it back on either issue alone and certainly for both...

take your receipt, cuz being outside 30 days, u are likely to be in for a bit of a squabble... good luck

I would call it in before your warranty runs out.

don't bother calling, they will try to blow you off again since they can't see how extreme it is. Take it to a local store. And like said above, bring your receipt just in case.

oh you will need to contact who ever you purchased it from.

Define squeaky...my curve squeaks on the lower right portion...nothing worth the trouble of replacing it though.

If it's not that bother some then I wouldn't even want to deal with the hassle of returning the device.

I'm honestly not sure. I have Verizon, ordered my phone from VzW's website, and returned it last week to a local corporate store for the Pearl. T-mobile may do the same, but reddog187 might be right (he has T-mobile and I'm sure knows how they work better than I do) and only be able to do it over the phone with the internet people.

I'd still try a store, doesn't hurt, and you never know they might since you are within 30 days.

Oh I'm sorry is this the TMO internet site or something different like wirefly, letstalk, etc.

If it's actually TMO then just call CS and talk to one of them and try to get a replacement. I was under the impression that "internet" was a third party company.

    So which is it?

Maybe I shouldn't worry about it. I hate that replacing thing because I might get one that really bad.

    Re: Confused

From what you described, I would worry about it if I were you and definitely take it and your receipt down to the nearest TMO Store and see if you can get a replacement. The keyboard is not supposed to be doing this, nor is the trackball. Don't just try to "live" with it because it might get worse and then your warranty will end and you will be stuck with these problems.

    Re: Confused

I had the problem with the keyboard, if i pressed one button another would show up, the keyboard was very shaky, if i lightly tapped the "s" the whole keyboard would move.
Plus the space between the camera button and the volume keys was very loose feeling.
I called TMO finally cuz i thought i could "live" with it. And they sent me out a new one and so far, so good. This is now my 3rd Curve...

I would call them ASAP, and get it replaced.
