    the easiest way is using BBFilesScout, locate the ringtones folder, and delete it

    yep, go to system ( at least on the Bold), samples and there you go

    Nope doesn't work!

    store/system/samples...folder is blank
    store/samples/ringtones...after clicking on delete this is what I got. I would go to ringtones and they are still there.

    when you open bbfiles scout you should see some like this

    SD card
    Store
    System < select here

    System/samples/ringtones > delete here...

    just try again, anyway Im locating the cod files

    why not try maxmem proly wont work on the os u have but who knows and i would think it would be the same as any other deivce/software when u go to remove the themes and all that

    net_rim_bb_medialoader_360x480_t.cod 1.891MB < ringtones

    net_rim_bb_medialoader_backgrounds_360x480_t.cod 5.258 MB < preloaded pictures

    delete those 2 files on your java folder and locate them on the blackberry.axl folder too.

    just try this at your own risk

    The tunebundles cod is the one you need to delete for default ringtones. The problem I've found when deleting it is that I can't customize my individual profiles for different ringtones when deleted. I can only make a ringtone the default through the media player library. Hope this helps.

    That's fine because the ringtones in my library are the ringtones I want to use.
