Changing Tracks with Media Player in Background?

    Okay,

According to the on-device help file, I can change tracks (back and forward) in the media player by pressing "N" (for next) and "P" (for previous)...

But is there a way I can do this whilst the media player is running the background?

So far, I've only been able to work out how to change the volume and pause the music whilst the media player is running in the background...

That would be great to know... if such a possibility exists.

Well the on-device help file lists the short-cuts I specified above, but it's not clear (in writing) whether this should apply outside of the media player application or not...

The ability to change the volume outside of the media player is not mentioned, however the pause function is.

It's REALLY frustraing to have to switch to the media player everytime I wanna change tracks (especially if you're in the middle of a message or a post)...
