Can't Sync With My Calendar. Help!

I'm new to this and need to be spoken to as though I'm slow. No seriously. I used to have a BB8703e but it got ran over by a car. Don't ask. I used to sync it with my old Palm Pilot software and it worked fine. Now I have the BB8330 and I don't know how to sync it. Please, please, please help me. And again, tell me like you would tell a child because this stuff is over my head.

    Tiger,

Its actually pretty painless. I assume you are running Outlook for your Calendar?
You will need Desktop Manager installed on your PC (click on MYBLOG below for the download link).

Once installed, go into the Sync application and Configure, and tell the software you are syncing with Outlook.

That's pretty much it. Give it a try and post back any questions!

It's actually not Outlook. It's my old Palm Pilot software. If I click on properties it's called Palm Destop Application. I don't think your directions are going to work. Should I still try or is there another route? Please pardon my stupidity.

Well the bad news is that I don't believe you can sync your BB to your Palm Pilot Desktop Application (not using the BB software anyway)...from the BTSC:

The following applications are supported by BlackBerry® Desktop Manager 4.3 for synchronization:
    • IBM® Lotus Notes® 6, 6.5, 7
    • Microsoft® Outlook® 2002, 2003, 2007
    • Microsoft® Outlook Express 6
    • Microsoft® Windows Contacts
    • Novell® GroupWise® 6.5, 7
    • Yahoo!® Mail

Crap! Crap! Double crap! I was afraid of that. I already have an account with Yahoo so perhaps I will go that route. Thanks for your help!

Perhaps someone can answer this question for me...

I have Outlook Express on my laptop, when I go to set up my sync configuration it doesnt give me the option to sync with Outlook Express, only Yahoo. However, when configuring my address book it does give me the option to use Outlook Express... Any reason why? Can I fix that? I mean, I would much rather use my OLExpress calandar than my Yahoo... Is there an easy fix?

So, last night I sat down and downloaded the trial version of Outlook, and poof!...now the DM syncs perfectly with my contacts and calandar. The calandar feature in Outlook is much more compatiable with BB Calandar than say Yahoo or Gmail. I understand the trial version of Outlook is only good for 60 days after which the terms say "certain" feartures will not be available without downloading the full version. So, I'm hoping that the Contacts and Calandar will be features which are available. I have not set it up to import/export email so I assume that is the part which probably wouldnt work after the 60 days. Anyway, just wanted to report that in fact Outlook works great with the sync feature... I'm sure everyone knows that already, but, I was excited...
