    Question Can't receive Emails but can Send them out?!!?

    My Blackberry Curve 8330 from Verizon ishaving problems. I can send messages fine, but as of two days ago, I can't seem to receive messages. Please help. I called blackberry support and they were unable to assist me for 4.5 hours!? I have had my phone for over 2 months and it's been fine up until now. I also noticed that my facebook application no longer alerts me as well... don't know if that matters? Please help... I can send emails and texts (can receive text)

    Try a batt pull and then when u restart if you still don't have new mail, hit the menu key and select reconcile now. See if that helps. Also what email do u use.(Yahoo, gmail, isp with outlook)~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    I've already taken the batteries out about 15 times over the course of the day. The support at BB kept telling me to do it and occasionally(2x), I'd get some of my mail but not everything. I would receive the "TEST" emails they send but none of my own. But then I would test it by sending myself an email from my computer, and it wouldn't work. I use gmail and yahoo.

    You should log into your BIS account and delete your email accounts and add them back in. This will reintegrate the email accounts to your BlackBerry.

    The facebook app as far as I know uses the alert emails but intercepts them before they show in you bb inbox. When you fix your email, the facebook app should start working again.

    do you have any filters on your email? i put one on my gmail so i would stop receiving copies of emails that i send and it prevents me from sending myself an email.

    I had a similar issue a while back and had to wipe the device before it wanted to cooperate

    I Would love to do what your saying about the "books" thing, but no clue as to how to go forward with that. Please help?

    Do you know how / where to log into your carriers BIS site? If so, log in and select service books, then send them..

    If you don't know how / where then what carrier are you on and I will find the correct link for you...

    Thanks for all the help, they finally figured it out at BB support. The Firewall was enabled and needed to be disabled!? I don't know. Just happy its working.
