Can't log into OZ Instant Messanger...

Or any other Instant Messager. I tried wap.voicestream.com in the APN section and it doesn't work.

I can't connect to any other IM client either. I have a Blackberry curve on T-Mobile.

How do I fix this problem?

Do you have a data plan? are you getting any error message? Try rebooting your device and trying to sign on again. Goodluck, PIN Me if you need further help.

Yes, the service books are configured to run on T-Mobile. I tried Jive Talk and it works but all the others do not. Strange.

Re: Can't log into OZ Instant Messanger...

I've used Oz on a few devices, and JiveTalk on the Curve. JiveTalk is a far better experience, and to date, has never suffered the kind of lag that people often experience with Oz. Highly recommended.

Re: Service Books - yes, you must send T-mobile service books, but you may also have to manually define the APN entry to be correct:

    APN: wap.voicestream.com
username and password should both be left blank

You mentioned service plan with T-Mobile: is it the BIS add-on? The "regular" data plan for non-blackberry's will not be sufficient to get proper service with the Blackberry - hopefully the "plan" you have is the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) add on.

Also: re: the question "Where did you get Oz?" - that may be important as well. Not sure, but if you have the AT&T version, it may have something hard-coded to only work with an AT&T provisioned phone - possible that each carrier that uses Oz has a customized build of the software (but this is only a guess).

If you have JiveTalk running, I'd suggest sticking with it. IMHO, it's the best out there.
