Can't get rid of missed calls icon-8310

    Hi Folks---Can anyone help me???

The missed calls icon on my 8310 will not go away, even on a battery pull. I can't see anywhere in the options to clear it.

Note: Did a search and tried several of the suggestions put forth there, but none worked.

    Thanks

Thanks for the response----calls do not appear in my message list because I have that option turned off, they are not in the call log, either.

Ok try this go to messages then hold ALT and hit P. This will pull up phone messages and it should show in there. Let me know if it works.

It's not clear if you are having problems with call logs or the icon itself. If you want to get rid of the icon, move to the icon, press menu, choose hide. That's the only way, because it's part of the firmware, can't delete it

You can't delete the missed calls icon. Its not a regular app icon. There's somewhere on the phone that is still storing the missed calls. You have to find them to get rid of it.

Open an e-mail messages folder, then press the BB menu button. Scroll down to View Folder and select this. You'll see a list of folders appear including one for Missed Calls. Check through all these folders for the culprit.

If that doesn't work, call your cell phone from a land line or other phone, but don't answer it so you get a legitimate missed call. Then go into your call log to check it. Hopefully this time around your device will get the idea and clear that little bugger!

So, it seems not to be a call log icon problem rather the missed call notification issue. Or is it? Just a bit confused about what the problem is. Ignore my earlier 'advice'. Thanks

Thanks, but the Icon referred to is not on the ICON/Wallpaper scrren. I know how to hide those. It is an indicator icon showing how many calls were missed.

Did you try calling your cell and creating another "missed call"? Hopefully then when you go into the call log this time it'll clear out the icon.

What you think checking ALT+P in messages? Or check your phone settings. Go to phone»options»call logging»and check missed calls.
