Can't change ring tone from home page

For some reason now, I can no longer change my ring tone from the home screen. I use the Today Theme, I think?? It's the one that shows messages, calendar, calls and Applications all going from top to bottom on the left hand side, with the volume icon in the top right corner.

Well my problem is, when I go to the volume icon on the top left corner, open it up, scroll down to advanced and hit menu, show ringtones, it goes to my Memory card/music folder. It won't show any ring tones. I am in the process now of reinstalling the OS and I have removed my memory card in hopes that it is similar to a computer. The less devices it finds in the format/reinstall of OS, the better it is....

So, for now, does nayone know what might cause this to happen, or to even change the string/or place where the BB looks for the ringtones?

I do know that I can go to my media card, or where ever the ring tones are to change the ringtone, but I prefer to go the short cut that I do here...It used to work this way, and now it won't ......

That is correct! I is defaulting to my music folder on my memory card. I have taken out the memory card and then it defaults to the device memory and music there as well....

Ok, update to this post. According to T-Mobile and BlackBerry RIM, it is a software glitch.
