Can't add POP email account to my curve :(

I have an exsisting POP email account that I have no problem logging into via webmail or setting up in my email client (Mac Mail app).

But when I try to add it via the Blacklberry Setup > Personal Email Setup on my Red 8310 Curve (carrier ATT&T) I get the 'We were unable to configure <email address>. Choose one of the following options ..... etc.

Any one else run into this problem? Anyone solved this problem?

Hi jj, it depends on the server for the POP3, some of the little known ones you have to input hte settings for On the options there should be one for I will provide the settings, and then you put in what ever the POP3 server name is.

    thanks pda.teck!

I solved it by creating a BIS account, logging into the BIS website then configuring the email settings (adding user name, password, mail server and email address)

    Problem solved!

Yes, to all the BB virgins; the best way to setup your emails is via the PC and your (BIS) Blackberry Internet Service. Using the device itself isn't a good idea.
