Can I Edit a back up file for contacts?

Ermmm, Im not even sure what Im saying is possible at all but here is the scenario I am looking at:

A few months ago I backed up my 4.2 OS BB 8310 before upgrading to beta os 4.5, (On 4.2 I had a nice and full contacts list.)

    Then backed up after 4.5

A month later I decided to downgrade to 4.2 again and realized I couoldnt restore to the contacts from the last backup (on 4.5), so I restored to the older 4.2 backup.

Now I have two files with contacts, some are the same some are outdated and some updated.
I would like to manually add everything to one single file.

By the way, my BB just stopped charging (bad usb port??) so ATT just shipped me a new one since the 1 year warranty isnt over yet, (hopefully they wont call the bad usb port as misuse and charge me 350 dlls for the new phone!!)
So I would like to do this ASAP since I only get a few days to return the box with the older phone

Thanks in advance to any replies!

Take a look at the Amber ABC utility. Not free but I believe it does what you want.
