Can I create/cause a JVM Error 102?
Blackberry 8330 on Verizon broke. Just got a refurb unit from Asurion. It works and functions okay, but it is a piece of junk. Parts don't feel right, colors are mismatched, etc. Was told by a friend that Verizon Wireless store (not Asurion) will replace phone with new phone if there's a JVM Error 102. SO, I know this sounds crazy, but any idea how to cause one of these error message?
hmm, I know how you can cause a 502 error...
start loading an OS on your phone then pull the plug.
or us jlcmdr and wipe the OS off. most of the support tech's (the ones I've talked to anyway) don't know that much about OS loading operations.
I am only saying this because you asked about it.
I IN NO WAY RECOMMEND YOU DO THIS
Especially if you are not 100% sure that you could
a)get a new phone.
b) recover your phone should you not get a new one.

Not sure how to create a 102 error either. It's caused by a problem in the handheld's file system. Usually after a check of the system's .COD files has been done and it's determined one of them is corrupt.
Download the myspace app and power off or pull the plug near the end of the install.......One of my users accomplished this on thier own.
