    Are you using with the TMO at home wifi hotspot, or your own wifi spot?

    I think they are still provisioning wifi for some people. Everything will be "really" up and running on Monday. Including the IM service books.

    Funny it connected at a tmobile store but I cant connect anywhere else so far.... So far.

    I wish I got the damn wifi unlimited when it was out!

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ when I sent a picture email on WiFi I was floored how fast it went. When I send a pic via email on EDGE it seemed to take forever.

    For the few people it works for, they say it's very fast. I'm just not one of the lucky ones that has been able to connect yet.

    When I went to tmobile to buy the curve, they had one on display and it had a uma logo up near the edge data logo. Mine does not have that. Anyone know why? I have hotspot@home service on my account. I called customer care. They transfered me to tier 2 support. The nerd just wanted to know about my phone. He seemed mad that I had one and he had to wait till tuesday to order his. He jus said that if my rouers name was next to the tmobile word I was good. But I wanna know if I'm missing out on something by not having that una logo.

    Mine looks a little different from that. I don't have the perfered option. Do u just have hotspot at home service added to ur account? Or u have another service I don't know about. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

    I don't have the hotspot at home and my screen also looks like that.

    You probably used the BB Switch Device feature, so you will need to wipe the device (you don't have to remove 3rd party apps) and then do an advanced restore to get back your address book, messages, and such.

    The UMA logo is for TMO hotspots .. not your basic WiFi connection. I was just at a Starbucks and my phone connected automatically to it for VoIP calls .. it had the UMA logo. But when I got home and it connected to my AT&T DSL line it just has the black & white WiFi logo .. but everything .. I repeat everything works just as it should.

    BTW. I bought my phone lastnight at 6:30 CST and by 11AM CST I had a confirmation email that my provisioning was done. It's all good. Just don't restore the service books from any other BB by mistake. It will play havok with your new precious. A simple resending of the service books will correct this. There is no reason to have to wipe your 8320 at all in any form or fashion.
