Camera wont start - bb 8300 curve

I had been using my blackberry witout any problem for at least a month.
One day i tryed to start my camera but i got a error message "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again."

So i first tryed a battery pull. No success. Then i updated to latest os but it still wont work.

I dont have any other applications running and i got alot of free memory so that should not be the problem either.

Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

i have seen this before and talked to RIM/BB support.. software reload does not fix this.. if you are under the 1 year warranty.. i would request a replacement from your provider.. as far as i know, this is the only fix.. sorry!

    Thumbs up Camera won't work

I got this error recently on my 8320 after a couple of weeks of use. Did some research after all the other resets and close application suggestions didn't work for me and found a site that advises the following, which worked for me.
    1. Remove back cover
    2. Gently but firmly press down around the lense ( i heard a soft click)
    3. pull battery

I had dropped my phone a few times recently and it is suggested that this shifted the camera.

    Hope this helps

I had this happen on an 8310, I wiped the OS clean with JL and reloaded, no fix. We had to replace the device.
