    Camera screen - mysterious number

On the camera screen, on the left side, is the number "200+" beneath the image screen. Anyone have an idea what it is, and what it means. I suspect it may be the equivalent of an ASA/ISO film speed setting but in absense of any way to change it, it seems like a silly detail to show.
Or is there a way to change the `film speed' setting?

Camera help file says this. In the camera, if the viewfinder is not occupying the full screen, the approximate number of pictures that you can save appears in the lower-left corner of the screen.

I would be very impressed if they included the ISO as well.

How many pictures it think it can take... take out your memory card and watch it drop.

Ya, its how many pictures you can take. The memory card just shows 200+ until it gets low and it can only hold under 200. The BB 8300 can only hold about 30. You can test they buy going to your cameras settings and changing the store pictures setting from on media card to in device memory.
