    Calender: Problem with reminders

    last week I awitched from a BB 8700 to the Curve, which went quite well. The only problem I have had sofar is with the alarms in my calender. They don't work, nor does the LED flash when I miss the alarm for an appointment. Checked all the settings and all other sounds work normally. Any ideas how to solve this?

    Hi hendrik

    Welcome to the Stacks. There have been several threads on this issue. Just do a search. Your profile doesn't show what OS you are running, but if you are on O2, to get your calendar reminders you need to delete your cical service books. Your other option is to upgrade your OS to the new Optus OS.

    Hi,

    The patch listed above is the correct one to fix the calendar issues on the 8830 and 8300 BlackBerry devices.

    However, if you have any calendar events on your BlackBerry calendar (in the future) that were on your BlackBerry before you applied the patch, you will have to delete all these calendar events and then re-sync to your desktop computer.

    Step 1: Delete your entire BlackBerry Calendar (but not anything else):

    We have made a free sample video available to show you exactly how to do this using Desktop Manager:
    Go to our web site www dot blackberrymadesimple dot com / deletecalendar
    (remove all spaces above and replace dots with ".")
    This video shows how to delete the address book, but the same technique applies for the calendar.

    Step 2: Re-Synchronize using Desktop Manager

    Presumably you already have this setup, but we can help if you need it.
    We do have a video on this process, but only available to our customers.
