I had that problem with my 8300, it took some gentle prodding but I finally got them both to lock~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

It took me like 30 minutes to get my sim card door to lock.

Just be gentle and try to hook it back in. I had some trouble with the SIM lock on the 8300, but the 8320 seems to work better.

I thought I broke my sim door too. Lay the phone flat line the sim card up perfect on the phone then shut the door and lock it. You just have to be gentle so you dont move the sim card. Like I said it took me atleast 30 minutes
