    Bluetooth vs USB Cable Speeds

I want to purchase a bluetooth adapter for my PC. Will a bluetooth connection be faster or slower than the USB cable? (which imo is slow for transferring files through the device onto the micro-sd card)

I noticed also class 1 bluetooth receivers are about $50, while class 2 receivers are as cheap as 20. Does a higher class receiver really matter for regular BB Desktop Manager use?

Bluetooth is MUCH slower than a USB 2.0 connection. For transferring music to your BB, stick with the umbilical! USB 2.0 is 480 Mbps; Bluetooth is 2.1 Mbps.

I thought that the limiting factor was the sd card speed. I guess I was wrong? Even the USB seems so slow.

For transferring files stick to USB.

Bluetooth is convenient for syncing unless you have your password enabled. Since you have to type in your password you're at your computer so you might as well use the USB cable.

Basically I would just use bluetooth with your headsets or just if you want to transfer a file quick without moving. Just when I'm lazy

You can transfer files to your memory card much faster using a memory card reader. I got one for $10 at compusa.

Yep, actually my reader just came in the mail. I got it from ebay for about $15.

My old USB - SD card reader doesn't work with my micro SDHC the way it worked with standard micro SD.

I haven't tried it out yet but I'm sure itll be faster. I guess I'll stick with the USB cable though. I already bought a BT dongle but apparantly it isnt certified by windows vista and it won't work with my BB DM. I tried searching but I think it's just a known issue.
