    Bluetooth Headset Recommendation/Question

I am looking for a bluetooth headset (probably over ear unless I read some compelling arguments) and I have no idea where to really start. I'm a first time BB user and love the Curve (waited out the 8800) so I dont know much about headsets. From what I'v read, Plantronics are pretty good as well as BlueAnt and possibly even the Motorola H700.

I'm only looking to use it in the car so battery time doesn't need to be astronomical. I'd also maybe like to use it every once inawhile when I'm walking to sync it with my media player to stream my .mp3's (if even possible).

    Thanks guys, this forum rocks!

There is only 1 bluetooth headset with active noise reduction, that's the Jawbone. Highly recommended. I also have the BlackBerry HS-655 which is VERY small and pretty good about noise. But the Jawbone, while bigger, still supresses more background noise.

Do you have to edit/reformat music to be compatible with an A2DP headset or willan A2DP headset be able to read music out of the box?

WEP is a good headset except it kinda hurts after awhile if you have it in your ear too long...the H700 is extremely comfortable but lacks much noise reduction if your in a noisy setting (if your just using it to drive then it'll be fine)...the plantronics 510 is a good headset all around...but if you really want the best...get a jawbone...you won't be dissapointed...its big and ugly...and looks like a cheese grater...but its amazing

I have the plantronics Discovery 655, works great. It has an over ear and in ear bud. I have tiny ears, so this works great for me.

I have the plantronics 340 and love it. I'd stay away from the H700 though, they don't seem to last very long. Most people that buy one have it break within a few months.

i have a 655 as well which is nice and comfortable i just didn't like the lack of noise cancellation...though i noticed it was much better with certain phones than it was with others...i've had my h700 for close to a year probably and never had a problem

DON'T BUY ANY MOTOROLA BLUTOOTH! I work at an at&t store and I can tell you that any Moto headset are the most returned ones out of all of them. The Aliph Jawbone is by far the best, it's the one that I use with my Curve and love it! Other than that I'd say the next best one is the Plantronics Voyager 510, I've also used that one and it's REALLY comfortable! It doesn't have the noise cancelization of the Jawbone, but it does have Windsmart technology that cancels out road noise and the wind factor while driving.
Cingular is now the new at&t
