    Bluetooth headphone quality (music)

So a friend of mine gave me her set of Plantronics 590 BT headphones. They came free with her LG Chocolate. In any case, they paired up nicely with my Curve etc. Now the downsides are the quality is close to AM radio, feels mono 2 channel at times. As well when I'm walking and the Curve is in my pocket it 'skips' or cuts out quite a bit.

Anyone have any BT tips to help me out?

Looks like I may have answered my own question:

The best reason for buying a pair of Plantonics' Pulsar 509As is their fantastic dual pairing options. If you often use hands free kits and Mp3 players, you are probably well versed in the complications that two sets of wires can generate; being able to eliminate both sets of cables is a huge benefit. The sound quality, although on a par with almost every rival product, is still nowhere near that which is possible through wired headphones.
Guess it was silly of me to think anything modern would be decent! Seems everything new/digital lately sacrifices quality.

The motorola bluetooth headphones sound awesome. I have to think there is a problem with your headset before I would suspect the blackberry in this case.

I think you're only going to get audio quality as good as your wireless headphones speakers. If your speakers can't reproduce the sound well, you'll get bad output. But if you have a quality set of headphones or pipe your BT audio to a BT Audio receiver, it sounds fine.

    Hi,

Don't know if I am off the mark here, but check out this news article on videos4blackberry: http://videos4blackberry.info/joomla...228&Itemid=204. It states that the current os on the BBs doesn't support A2DP, or stereo on Bluetooth headsets. Apparently 4.3 will supportit...

I have a pair of Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones and they sound great. A little light on the bass, but otherwise great stereo sound.

Docs with the headphones suggest that 'environmental factors' can cause skips. Some tips Motorola suggested, and I suspect it'll also be the same for any bluetooth headphones, is to keep your Berry above your waist to improve signal and keep your battery charge up.

People have been using the S9 for quite a while, so the BB must support it in some way.

Is that only the new 8130 with the new os? Is this article I posted accurate? I'm curious because I was thinking of getting a stereo bluetooth headset myself for my 8310, but if it's better to wait for the new os I will.
