    my 8320 keeps turning on and off after it finishes security test it wont stay on for more than 20 sec and its only going halfway through backup until it shuts off again whats wrong is there any way to save the data

    Try plugging into DM to get a back up....

    i got it to backup i changed usbs did the transfer blackberrys and it backup so im going to reinstall the os and see what happens

    Sounds like the first USB port didn't have full power capability. Always make sure you are getting full charging from the USB port when trying an upgrade.

    What model blackberry are you transfering info from? 8700 had a known compatability issue that caused a memory leak when info was put on to curve....which could potentially cause the device to reboot continually.

    Only fix for that was to make a backup of just contacts and calendar from 8700 and to let the curve control the rest.
