    Re: Blackberry messenger

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I am not sure either. I get this too sometimes. But once I get a new message it resets and the red light stops flashing.

Also I keep my bb messenger on 24/7. I am sure you can click the menu button on the app and select close. I am sure that will turn it off.

    Sorry I wasn't much of a help.

I don't think there is a way to turn it off, actually. You might be able to disable it though.

if you mark yourself as unavailable thats about as 'off ' as the messenger gets...no one can message you so you won't get the redlight blinking anymore

You can send messages to someone who is unavailable. The only way to stop messages is to turn wireless off or take the battery out. That makes you become unreachable.

Yes, I get messages when I'm set to unavailable all the time. I wish there was a way to turn it off without turning off the phone.

What if you switch it to phone only? Wouldn't that eliminate all incoming messages?

Possibly, but I still want my texts and emails.

Switch the profile to phone only? That just stops the audible alerts. Messenger is still running. I'm not sure you stop the program from running.

It would be cool if you can sign off BBmessenger or close it.
