    Blackberry Browser Issue!

    What's up fellow Pinstackers?

Tried jumping online quick yesterday from my 8320 to check a couple scores and when I tried my screen went white and I got the following message:

'Uncaught exception: invisible node cannot be made current'

Did the battery pull trick still to no avail.

Woke up this morning and tried again. This time I had an email that contained a link and when I opened the link thru the email the browser worked perfectly.

I thought the issue had been resolved but then again once I opened the browser using it's icon, I got the same error message as before.

    Any suggestions or similar encounters????!?!?!?!

    Thanks

Try downloading the icon again. Try googling what you're looking for and see if you get the same results.

    Best of luck!

I had to wipe my handheld to fix that issue. Backup everything and try it.

I had the same problem and posted my question over at another forum. This is the response that I got and this did the trick...

"This problem has showed up several time reciently.

The problem stems from the default Bookmark home page.

Use an e-mailed link to any web page. That should start Browser.

Change to your preferred home page, Google perhaps, and press the Menu key. Select Options / Browser Configuration and scroll to the bottom.

    Select the button Use Current.

Browser should restart correctly."... (credit to a user named Stoner)

After doing this I was able to go back to normal. Only thing is, now I can not go to that page that has the bookmarks that usually shows up after you click on your browser. I tried to go to it from the menu button once I was in the browser but it locked up again with that same message (must be a problem with that page itself).

    Hope this helps.

hi this is reyto, and this is my first post here in the forums.

this also happened to me a couple of days ago which froze up the bookmarks page that's supposed to show up first on the screen.

i was able to fix it (by accident) though and until now i haven't found any problems resulting from my tweaking.

i didn't know what i was doing, i didn't even back up my data. but it worked and hope it helps you too. here's what i did :

    > went to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book

    > Menu Click & Deleted the following :

    > BC Internet Browsing Service new
    > T-Mobile USA WAP
    > Wi-Fi TCP/IP Browser
    > BC Virtual Preload Facebook
    > Wireless Village - ICQ
    > Wireless Village - AIM
    > Windows Live
    > Virtual Preload Handango
    > T-Mobile USA WAP Transport
    > T-Mobile USA WAP 2.0 transport
    > Wap Push Config
    > Wi-Fi TCP/IP Browser

    > Exit Service Book
    > Went to Host Routing Table
    > Menu Click on Boldest T-Mobile USA [xxxxxxxx] line
    > Select Register Now
    > Exit Options

Eventually, all the lines in the Service Book i deleted came back after the registration. Now try clicking on Browser again and clear the caches, i hope it works for you as it did for me. please give us feedback if you were successful on this.

I tried this whole process and to no avail. I click on the browser and the dialog box pops up with the same message "uncaught exception: invisible node cannot be made current"

    any other suggestions??
