Battery life for the 8900 is awesome when compared against to the bold.
I had the 8900 but when back to the bold, cuz its so much faster OS.

Well, well, well. Nice to know all the different opinions - all defenders of the BB8900. The comparison with the 83xx series reminds me of how easy it was to handle and carry... You guys simply showed me the way !
I love my Bold, so I´ll be keeping it, although I have enough family members that will grab it once they know I'm going to give it a rest (lol).
So 8900 here I come...thanks stackers - you guys really rock!

I know you've already decided but I thought I would add my 2 cents for the record: The main difference I would point out is that the Bold has a faster processor, as fondoo alluded to above.

But I do a LOT of multi-tasking and use a lot of 3rd party apps, and I'm very happy with the 8900 on AT&T. I left my last BB because of processor capabilities and that will not be the case with this one! :-)

Yep ! It´s here in my hand now - feels good. Screen is also very good with great contrast. Took a bit o time to load up, but that is also a problem with Bold. Tonight (I'm im Portugal - Greenwich Meridian Time) it´s play and tinkering time ... Keyboard is fine, and somehow it feels more solid than the Bold. Now let's see...
Ok fellas and goils - thanks for all the upbeat info you gave .

Another thing to keep in mind is the 8900 has more application memory then the bold does.
