I am on my 3rd device from verizon. The phoen will just reset itself when i put it down on a table or something similar. its exactly the same on ALL 4 of the phones..., it resets when the bottom edge of the phone (near internal antenna) hits the table....

anyone else experiencing this? i do know of a friend of mine that has this problem as well.

Only additional apps i run are: minisafe, miniexcel. berry 411, rdm, radio companion, espn

    ok
I had this same problem when I got my new curve and I figured out that the battery does not quite fit the slot. It has just enough space to move just enough to break contact with one or two of the pins connected for power.

I ended up putting a spacer (made out of a match book) in between the battery and the wall never had a problem since.

    just don't lose the spacer
    lol

I had this problem with my 8830 several months ago. After about 4 or 5 months of the issue, I upgraded to my Curve and have not had a problem since.

    Funny you mention it,
8330 from sprint did often as well. Just sitting down often reset it. That made me nuts. I took it back 3 days before my 30 days ran out and got a replacement. I've had this 8330 27 days with no resets.
    Replace it if u can.
There is no reason a new phone should do it, but mine did.
    Good luck

    ok...
    here is my battery crutch.
the pics didn't turn out super great but they should get the msg across.

ok so first you need to find a proper piece of material to use.
I ended up using the cover flap for a pack of rizzla rolling papers
so, start by getting a piece that is about as long as the battery.

next, when you insert your Battery you need to wedge on end of the crutch into the space next to the battery

then just press it into place.

replace the cover and you should no longer have the issue

    pretty simple.
probably not the most elegant solution but it works

Yep, had this issue and had the device replaced. Hopefully the spacer idea will work for you. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
