    Hi

    I have recently changed from a BB8800 to a BB8300. The problem i had with the BB8800 was that i could not add contacts to my BB Messenger...if i select add contact then it would let me choose a contact and then add them to my list of contacts as pending.

    Challenge i have is that it will not let my colleague know that i was attempting to add them and so they could not accept. If i got my contact to add me then i would appear on their pending list and i would not get anything on my BB8800.

    The BB8800 was a bit tired so i changed to a NEW BB8300. Im still getting the same problem. I feel that when i got the BB software to change devices then the problem was transferred as well.

    Anyone have any ideas as to what i can do?

    Here is the best way to add contacts to BBM

    1. Open BBM
    2. Menu> Add a Contact...
    3. Scroll to [Use Once] but DO NOT SELECT / highlight only
    4. Menu > Request by PIN

    Try this and see if it helps.

    Yep thats right, but I don't get why there is an option to add by anything other than PIN because nothing other than PIN will work.

    It used to happen to me too, I have my gmail and hotmail acct in my BB, and everytime when ppl sent me requests, I never got them, then I found out...

    The request either went to the junk mail folder, which BB doesn't get the email from the junk mail folder, or the request somehow was just gone.

    Since then I hav everyone send to the BB email acct, (I used AT&T so in my case it's user@att.blaceberry.net.). I also send to their blackberry address. That works really well so far, I got the requests instantly and now no more lost request. =)
