    Hi,

i registered my blackberry to use my gmail email account. i was wondering if there is anyway to get rid of these annoying things it does.

when i reply or send out an email, i get an email showing me what i just sent out which i dont need. i also receive a text message telling me i sent an email out. which i also dont need. is there any way i can just send and receive without all these duplicated messages? its annoying me ! haha.

Go to your BIS page and set up a filter for yourname@gmail.com set to "do not forward to the device"

Let us know if you need more help with this. Its a common problem.

what do you know, it works! thank you very much gary, i really appreciate it. i've been with all types of blackberrys to an iphone and now i'm back to the 8320 and i feel like i've never touched a blackberry before, so i'm breaking myself back into the swing of things. as much emailing as i do, i was getting tons of unnecessary confirmation emails. so i really appreciate your timely response and help.

thanks its great to be back. two things that stand out my a long shot between the blackberrys and iphone.

#1 is the community, responses come in within minutes here, on the largest iphone forums you'd be lucky if anyone gets back within an hour or so,

#2 bb messenger haha i forgot how vital this app is. its worth the price tag alone, sure work productivity goes down but the muscles on my thumbs are ginormous.

all in all, the iphone was a great phone, but lacked too many basics that 3+ year old phones contained. it was a flashy phone dont get me wrong, but for work related easy of use, practicality, and features, i couldn't resist coming back to pinstack and joining everyone once again. it was so...so...so lonely and cold on the other side
