I have heard using a hair dryer on the device, I also may have read somewhere to lightly "bake" a blackberry as well. I say use the search tool at the top right of the Stax and type "Water Damage", read everything possible. There are useful ideas and some horrible (baking a BB is prolly not the way to go....lol) Good luck

Check this out, through TMO - if you exchanged your phone - they would send you a refurbished one, you would send your damaged one back, if the damaged one was determined to have liquid damage you would be charged a $100 out of warranty fee. You can check for liquid damge right next to the sim card there is a little square - White = no liquid damage, Red = liquid damage. So even if you return it and it was white there still may be liquid damage further in the phone, and you still may be charged. Policy now is that as long as that initial sticker is white your in the clear!

Also, i have heard that sticking your phone in like a mason jar of rice will fix the liquid damage, doubt its true but who knows.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~it is true, rust will set in and then one day your phone just won't work. I see it almost daily at work.
"Mr customer your phone got wet and that's why it isn't working".
"Yea but that was 6 months ago and its worked fine since"

Rice will do a good job at absorbing the moisture but that doesn't guarantee anything...
