    Hi,

I have to charge my BB everyday I don't know why even though I don't talk. I just got this phone a month ago. I am using BB Dimension L theme. Is that why?

if you have any apps running in the backround that are updating frequently like and RSS reader our IM chat client it could be draining your battery. Also if you are in an area with poor signal strength it could draining the battery due to the phone constantly searching for signal.

Mine is usually out by the end of the day and i have to charge it overnight

Do you have jivetalk or other im clients that are turned on?

If I have jivetalk on, by 1PM I have about 30-40% bat life left, if its not on, I have about 80% left.

    It kills!

I run jivetalk and bluetooth all the time, and my battery is at about 25% by the end of the day with about 2-3 hours of talk time during the day. I consider this VERY acceptable, and I just charge every night.

My battery was pretty bad the first 3 days, I followed the recommended charging instructions for the first 3 days, I let the battery go down to 5% and recharged and did that for 3 days, now it lasts from about 7am to atleast 7pm without a charge.

I bought a second battery and charger so now i dont worry about it.

Paid 50 for siedios extended batt---lasted for three days without being on a charger longer than 20 min! I forgot my charger at home and relied on using the car charger off and on....and I was using the net, jive talk, viigo and BBM....well worth the money!

With a one week old 8330, I'm getting about 2 days charge out of my battery. However, this is because I put my phone on standby mode wheb I'm doing something slightly impportant, which is more than no.

Try closing most of your running apps and using that handy standby.

The seidio 2600 is awesome. I do a hunred mails a day and make a lot of calls. The extra hump isn't that bad. After a few days, I didn't notice it, but the battery life is awesome. I used to have to charge by 2:00. I was tied to my desk because i need my phone. Not any more. Most days i have 40% or 50% when I go to bed. You will need their holster, but I swear by them anyway. The only thing is, I can't use my blackberry cradle any more. That's a bummer.

P.S. the 1500 wasn't even a noticable difference to me.

When I first strated using my 8330 (My first Blackberry) I was leaving alot of applications running in the background which was killing my battery! Also, I've learned the hard way a long time ago that "seasoning" your battery when you first get it will improve the amount of power you'll get out of it on a daily basis.
